National Citizenship Scheme – Workshop on Social Action

Posted on

Deana and Julia are talking to 150 young people on their NCS course at Nottingham University on 14th July 2016. We are talking to them about what is ‘social action’ and what it isn’t! Do you believe that social action is more than raising some money and donating it to a charity? We’d love to know what you think about it!42003

Coalville Project – exciting times

Posted on Updated on

On 3 June 2016, Deana Wildgoose and Julia Burkin committed their passion and expertise for the next 18 months to the Coalville Project, an initiative supported by North West Leicestershire District Council. They will work closely with existing providers and organisations to promote Coalville as a great place to live, learn, work and play.

Julia and Deana will share their journey with you by posting where they have been, who they are talking with and what already happens in Coalville. They will also be introducing lots of new activities and collaborations.

The Hero Project CIC is the new community interest company that Deana and Julia are creating to enable them to work in the Midlands area, in communities, making a difference! You can find out more about Julia, Deana and the Hero Project CIC on the relevant menu tab.
